All I need is Faith....

All I need is Faith....

Sometimes I walk
Other times I run
As my heart skips a beat along this road
the rode that we call Life.
It is full of doubts
and full of hurts
as we fall and as we stumble
along this road.
We watch...and as we watch
we begin to fall
and to crumble
under the pressure
The pressure that drives our souls right to the cliff edge
And as we look over. . . we SCREAM!
we let the pain explode from within
from the depths of our souls
we discover the sun and the moon
and as they come and go
day after day
we watch in sudden awe
in sudden wonder
and then we discover what life really has to offer us
the sun will set leaving us in a sudden darkness
leaving us scared but all we need is faith
faith in the sun. . . . that it will come again
come again to fill our hearts
with warmth...and with love...

The Bloody Battle

The Bloody Battle

Droping down
to sit below the world
I watch in utter despair
as those I called friends
those I called allies
destroy themselves
kill each other from deep within
Hopeless I watch
without out knowing
what I could do to stop it all
So reaching up
I pull myself
up and out
from below
and I reach out to everyone I can reach
I whisper in their ears
and I tell them
secrets, wonderful beautiful secrets
about themselves
the secrets they don't know
I tell them
what they can become
but only if they put down that sword
that gun
and walk away peacefully
as some begin to walk away
I begin to smile as I go about my journey
The hardest journey of my life
 the hardest challenge
to help others help themselves
yet as I watch a few turn back to battle
and it hits me
I cant help those blood thirsty for battle
they need to help themselves first
watching once more yet this time from a cloud
a cloud once white
now full of my tears
of my pain
and as it fills full of tears
it breaks and splatters the ground below
and at first the battle continues on below
then as the hurt from within all
erupts into lightning and thunder
the people begin to run
they begin to help each other
as they all search for a place of shelter
and I begin to laugh
for the irony of it all
natures hand in our life's can be
a most hidden
yet most marvelous blessing given to us mere mortals
here below the
one and only....

The Dancing Book

So I have the opportunity to participate in the Miss Sevier County Pageant this weekend.  My talent is poetry writing so I am gonna do a poetry reading....with some Flare to make it interesting.  This is the poem I have pieced together for saturday night.....i just have to memorize it now. :) oh fun!!

The Dancing Book

Dancing away
I create my book
the book of my world
as my feet move
on a never ending trend
my soul leaps and falls
 with painted emotions
that paint my book
with the tears that fly from my eyes
and slowly, ever so slowly
i see the pages begin to close
to close in on me
and as the book captures my soul
I YELL out in despair
as my never ending dance
comes to a pause as
 I challenge myself to walk
into the unknown and to take a chance
to become someone besides myself
my tears trail down
to land upon the mirrored floor
to leave pools of paint
as i rewrite my life
i hold still while
the book of my world
begins to fail
and soon becomes
nothing more than a bitter tale
yet as it fails
and begins to crumble in my hands
i reach up
to catch a fallen star
and i watch
as it slowly ever so slowly
forms the book of gold
as i then burn
my book of mold

They...

They...

Slip.....to fall
fall ....to be
to be....true to all.
to all....who made a differnce
upon a white moon
they danced into my life
and just as fast they vanished off the maps.

I Try

I Try
i try to be
i try to do
yet in the end
i try to hard
to do
and to be
what i cant
and who i cant
do and be
so i end up
being who
i am meant to be..

My Hero

As a little girl grows up her heroes are never the same.  When I was younger I had my heroes, and the people I wanted to be just like as I grew up.  Yet as I have gotten older my heroes have changed, they have never stayed the same for long and they always let me down in the end.  Yet from the moment of my first breath to this very second and for eternity and beyond, I have one hero who’s never left me, never let me down, who’s always supported, and has always loved me unconditionally.  And who will never leave me to wonder where I stand in his life.  This man does not have a name that will blow the world away, but the name he has taken for this lifetime stands for who he is and will always stand for who I am and he holds my world together.  This man is my Daddy, Stephen T. Huls.  He is solid in all he does, and he does it with a pure mind and with good intent, and he always gives his very best.  I look at him and I want to be just like him.  My dad is one of a kind, and he has a complete original mind that could scare, or confuse the smartest of men. Yet that mind of his is full of strange, silly, amazing, mind blowing ideas that have played a part in the foundation of my life.  I am one of five children, and we all describe him with the same words.  We all hold him with the same amount of respect that he has always shown to us and to our amazing mother and grandparents.  When he talks we listen, and when we talk he listens.  My Dad can be described as, unique, strange, dedicated, honest, blunt, a patriot and some would say insane.  But as a father he is so much more to us children.  He is a father who gave up things he wanted for the benefit of his children.  He has given up his dreams, to help us create and accomplish our own dreams.  I could never ask for a better father.  Dad I wrote this for you, and I wish you a happy birthday with lots of love your daughter Emma Joy.
