I am thankful....for .... life

I am Thankful....for....Life

I am thankful

for those who stood by me

who told me 

that I could be

and could do anything

Those who when I was broken

when I was hurt and bleeding

picked me back up....

and who helped me....

to put the pieces of my life

back together again.

I am thankful 

for a little someone

who protected me

who kept me from harm

on a cold dark lonely night

I am forever grateful

for her stormy attitude

that I miss so much

and that for a time

for a very short but amazing time

was not only mans best friend

but she was my hero

and my best friend.

I am thankful

for the unknown

that catches us all unguarded

yet brings us....

both joy and sorrow

and fills our life's with adventure...

and the hidden yet memorizing unknown.

I am thankful

so very thankful

for ever little thing...

both the good and the bad

that have turned me 

turned me upside down...

and inside out....and back again.

I am grateful for it all.....

for without. . . 

the pain

the hurt

the confusion

the laughter

and the memories....

I would be no one

 and I would never truly

know or understand 

the true meaning....

the true meaning of......life.
