My 2016 New Year's Resolution ...

                                                 My 2016 New Year's Resolution .....

Every year for as long as I can remember I have dreaded New Years. Mainly because, everyone meaning my parents, friends, teachers,.. extra would ask me the same question every year. "What is your New Year's Resolution?" Well to be completely honest I never truly have ever set one. I may say one thing one year, and something else the next. Yet I have never said it with any real intent of completing any one of them. I never have.

So why would this year be any different? What is so special about 2016 that I have actually set more than one?? To be honest I don't know for sure. All I know is I am excited about this year. I am excited about life, and I want to live this year like I have never lived any other years. I want to make choices that will benefit my family, my future and myself. In this article I am going to share a few of my New Years Resolutions and why I have set them.

A few of my resolutions for my at home life are : 1- Clean house, 2- No clutter, 3-Schedule(cleaning,cooking,daily life). I struggle juggling a job, running a store, a business and being a wife and mother. Forget the house, meals, organization. Its LONG forgotten this last year. Its gotten to the point where I take one day a week to do nothing but deep deep clean my house and that is if something doesn't come up to take me away from home that day. So this year for the sanity and health of myself and my family these are top goals of mine. I want to create a daily schedule where I wake up do one or two chores, get ready for work. Drop baby off at sitters, After work have one or two chores...extra. So that my house doesn't look like a bunch of wild animals live here. This will be something I will defiantly struggle with because as I said I have a lot going on and little time to spare. I just need to discover how to properly manage my time. Any suggestions for proper time management?

My resolutions for my spiritual side are: 1-Read & Pray daily with family, 2- Read & Pray daily by my self, 3-Finish Book of Mormon with family, and by my self, 4- Receive my Temple recommend 5- Receive my Temple endowments , 6- Be sealed to my family, 7- To not miss a tithing or fast offering ,and 8-to attend every Sunday. I love having a relationship with my father in heaven. I enjoy the connection I know I am able to have with him. I used to have a strong testimony, a strong relationship with the Lord. Yet in the last 3 years I have let it shrink and fade. Where I used to never miss a tithing, I struggle to pay it. Where I used to read and pray daily, I struggle once a week to do so. Where I once attend church faithfully I allow life to prevent me from going. I still have my testimony, that is one thing I will never allow myself to lose. I have seen, felt and experienced way too many things in my 21 years to allow it to fade into nothing. I know without a doubt in my mind that I am a daughter of my heavenly father, and that he not only loves me and guides me but he loves and guides us all. My main goal this year is to draw closer to him then I ever have before, so I can succeed in my ultimate goal to be sealed for time and all eternity to my family.

I have many resolutions for my pride and joy, Country Nook. I love being at my store. I wish I could be there daily. My resolutions for Country Nook this year are: 1- Double my income from last year, 2- Paint the outside of the building (What color should I do so??) 3- Acquire a new sign for the store, 4- Advertise everywhere possible, 5- Relay for life, and 6-Start doing Craft lessons. I love my shop so much and want nothing more then to see it succeed the way I know it can. Yes my location is not the greatest, I am on a main road, but not in the main town. I know if I don't quit in the next 5 to 10 years my store will be doing so much better. For now though I need to get to work on it. The outside of the store is not all that great for a place of business. I am wanting to find a color that POPS and says look here I am here! But I also want it to say, come check us out we have treasures that are hand crafted and amazing. So any ideas on this are greatly needed and appreciated. I am also needing to get more advertisement out there. I have a website so anyone can order from my store. But I need to get the word out there. Where besides Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pintrest can I advertise?? I will really appreciate all suggestions. My other fun goals are to create a Relay for Life team this year. Who wants to be apart of the Country Nook team??? Contact me and let me know so we can start planning. I am way excited and have many ideas, and goals for it. The last two years I have been apart of it but haven't done very much. This year will be awesome! My other fun goal is to start doing craft classes. Something to raise a little extra for the store, and to help teach people new talents. Ideas and suggestions are welcome on this one as well. Years ago I had a dream about a small store full of dreams and wishes, and hopes. When I awoke from it I remember trying my hardest to go back to sleep so that I could continue to be in the shop. A few days ago as I stood looking around my small boutique store it hit me. That store in my dreams so many years ago is identical to Country Nook. And there is indeed many hopes, dreams and wishes piled in side. They are the hopes, wishes, and dreams of me, and so many others. All my vendors work so hard at their day jobs, and part time on their passions. I opened Country Nook with the hopes to create a place to inspire those crafty people. A place for them to sale and show case what they love to do. I only hope I can help us all accomplish the dream that I know Country Nook can be.

My last resolution is definitely not the least of them. I have a goal to reach Pro 3 in my LifeVantage business by the end of this new year. I love being in this company, the people are amazing, the products are extraordinary.  I have never felt so right about doing something as I do this company. Three years ago when my brother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer I went down hill. I became depressed. And even though I have been aware of it for the last 3 years, I fought it and some days I won...but most days I lost. In October 2015 I was introduced to Protandim. And within a few weeks I woke up. I felt a load taken off my mind and I was able to focus. For the first time in 3 years I am alive again. I am not just going threw the motions of the day, I am living the motions. I am remembering things, but most importantly I care again. I care and I never want to live in that dark cloud again. I am setting goals, and one of the top goals is  LifeVantage. I know what this company can do for the world. I know what the products can do, and I want to pay it forward for all the service I have been given in my life. If I can help but one person I will be successful.

I used to think goals were pointless, and unnecessary. Yet threw this last year I've discovered the value to not only making goals, but achieving them. Happy New year everyone. Good-bye 2015 hello 2016.
